The Hunns: Just Your Friendly Conquerers Next Door

Since we were married, it has been a point of particular pride that most combinations of our last names are hilarious, fear-inducing, or otherwise simply awesome.

We've particularly liked "HardShinRun" and "DarnHisUrn" because shin runs are hard and I really hate that one guy's pottery.


But, regardless of all those fleeting name fancies, we've always had a particular soft spot for the fact that our names combined could come out to "Hunn."  Knowing that the famous Huns had just one "n", we thought that "Hunn" (with two "n"s) combined just the right amount of individuality, historicity, and militaristic, terror-inducing intimidation to truly reflect our own personalities.

Which, if you know either of us, you can attest to our brutality and destructive-hoard-like natures.

We will eat ALL your pastries!

And so here we are, the Hunns, getting ready for a twenty-first century invasion of Europe--dead serious.  We're sharpening our passports, forging our plane tickets, and stockpiling our German vocabulary because this autumn...we're coming.

We warned you, Europe.  Prepare yourself.
